Secret 'Green' Coconut Chocolate Shake | Jake's Boost Nut Butters

Okay Chickpeas, we should all know by now... I am a Nut Butter frantic. Whether it's peanut butter, almond butter, cashew butter, you name it!

It's no surprise that this recipe contains Nut Butters.

But not just any Nut Butters, but a nut Butter like no other - Jake's Boost! Who create Nut Butter's with the most unique combinations, combining various nuts & seeds which just make the best tasting Nut Butters you'll try. There are a choice out of 3: Super Boost Butter, Cacao Boost Butter and Tiger Boost Butter (aka my absolute favourite)  AND each one is 100% natural, FREE FROM dairy, gluten, salt & refined sugar and contain no palm oil. You'll find 6 nuts and 4 seeds in each pot, for example cashews, almonds, Brazil nuts, Pecans, Chia seeds, Hemp seeds and many more! Not only that but they donate 5% of their profits to charities which fight childhood food poverty.

That brings me to why I'm working with Jake's Boost... From June the 5th they're launching a Crowfunding Campaign where you can get amazing rewards such as product packs, discounts, merchandise, and the recipe E-Book which I'm very proudly part of! If you want to read more about the campaign, you can read all about it and support Jake's Boost here!

Anyway, to the recipe, of course using the fabulous Tiger Boost Butter! There is going to be a recipe for each Nut Butter, if haven't checked out my first recipe of these 'Cocoa Boost Cookie' using the Cacao Boost Butter which are amazing! My last recipe using the Super Boost Butter, I'm going to keep a lil surprise for you all that purchase the recipe book!

Never the less, lets talk smoothies. a green smoothie in disguise to be specific. Mhmm.

We all love chocolate right? What if I told you that you could get your chocolate and greens in one? YUP! So if you're someone who struggles to get in their greens, loves extra veggies or just bloody fancies a delicious chocolate smoothie... This recipe is for you!

It's the perfect breakfast, snack, even dessert!

It's thick, creamy and curbs any pesky sweet tooth's. I used banana for sweetness, with a tiny squeeze of a agave, vegan pea protein to pump up the protein, flaxseed for a boost is omega 3's, along with a sprinkle of cinnamon for extra sweetness and flavour, while also boosting ya metabolism!

For the chocolate goodness, I use raw cacao powder, which is a nutritional powerhouse of the chocolate world. It's packed with fibre, antioxidants, magnesium and iron. And anything chocolate related has the 'feel good' factor, right?

For the greens I used spinach which I love adding to all my smoothies! It's very easy to add and not taste a thing! It packs in protein, iron, fibre, vitamin K, vitamin C, along with being rich in chlorophyll which helps neutralise toxins found in the blood. Along with courgette, YEEE, you heard. Kinda a secret ingredient, as it's the key to the thickness along with the banana, and like the spinach you can't even taste it! Courgette is low in calories and packs in plenty of nutrients, being high in Vitamin A, magnesium, potassium which is a key to controlling blood pressure.

Then of course the star of this recipe a heaping tablespoon of Jake's Boost Tiger Boost Butter! Adding a tonne of nutrients, vitamins, creaminess, texture and flavour! Bonus! The Tiger Boost is indulgent, rich & biscuit blend made from cashews, toasted coconut, sunflower seeds and tigernuts. Let me tell you.... in this smoothie it works a dream! Finished off with fresh coconut milk to bring the blend perfectly together....

Oh damn.

Indulgent, coconut, chocolate, yet all so good for you goodness.
