Peanut Butter Mocha Protein Bites

Happy Monday my lil chickpeas! Yep, another bloody week come and gone. Can you believe we're already nearly at March? Like whaaaattt. But hey to brighten up the week of course I'm here with a recipe for you, and this weeks is a cheeky boost and half.

I think it's fair to say I have a bad habit of combining all of my favourite flavours into the yummiest snacks. And come on, by now we all know I love my coffee, chocolate and peanut butter. and that's when these Peanut Butter Mocha Protein Bites were born.

This is one of my favourite recipes everrrr. The original recipe I made for these little bites was originally just peanut butter and chocolate (which is just as delicious)  but of course I decided to mix it up for ya! COFFEE. This was inspired by what you all know is my favourite coffee by now...Beanie's!!! Well, in this recipe it only seemed right to incorporate their 'Chocolate' flavoured coffee (the more chocolate the better right?)

Believe it or not they're actually really easy to make, packed with protein, and taste so bloody good! Oh damn.  I mean just take a look!

Packed with wholesome oats, crunchy peanut butter, naturally sweetened, plenty of cacao along with some chocolate protein for that extra punch and then the slight hints of coffee travelling through. Mmmmm. To be honest they're like little no bake cookies just rolled into a ball. Because that all you have to do, combine the ingredients, roll into balls and freeze, Boom done.

Lets be honest I'm sure most of us are on or heard of the whole energy ball craze by now... But I can assure you this is one of my faves! So I just suggest you get making these quick, quick quick. Pop them in ya handbag, grab one on the way out the door, or a afternoon sweet pick me up! Either way these beauties will give you a extra yumm, spur of energy while satisfying your tastebuds!


1 1/2 cup oats (gluten free if needed) 
1 tbsp cacao
1 scoop of vegan chocolate protein powder (I used Missfits Nutrition)
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
3 tbsp agave nectar/maple syrup 
3 tbsp coconut oil 
1 tsp Beanie's Chocolate Coffee (If not using add plain coffee & extra cacao)
1 tbsp non - dairy milk

Place your oats, cacao and protein powder in a large bowl and mix together. Place this to one side. 

Next in a small sauce pan lightly heat your coconut oil, peanut butter, agave and tsp of Beanie's coffee. Stir this around until all is completely melted together.

Pour your wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry and mix together until all combined. Then add 1 tbsp of non - dairy milk (you may need to add a little more) and a thick mixture should form (you don't want it too wet)

Grab a handful and roll into evenly sized balls. It should make around 9 - 10, depending on how big you want them. Pop them in an airtight container and freeze for around 20 minutes until set.

Then dig in and enjoy!
