Love Yourself This Valentines With MissFits - Chocolate Banana Protein Oats

Breakfast. The best meal of the day I say. I can't quite understand people who can skip breakfast, like whhaaaaattt! I bloody love breakfast! And of course one of my favourite breakfasts has to be oats. Oh man, there is nothing better than a big bowl of creamy porridge to dig into. With all the toppings of course...

However, this oatmeal isn't just any old oatmeal. I swear, it's like dessert for breakfast. Yes, Chocolate Banana Oats. Creamy, chocolatey, gooey, rich, satisfying,.. It's your healthy & sweet fix all in one. Perfectly sweetened with the banana and rich, dark scents of coco travelling through. Dream team!!!!

I'm loving whipping this up for a weekend breakfast when I have a lil more time in the morning. Indulgence for breakfast. Honestly each mouthful is absolute bliss. The best treat ever. But completely guilt free. You honestly wont believe they're healthy.

Another occasion these oats are perfect for... Valentines day! The obligatory time for chocolate, right? Haha. Which is why I've also added my favourite Vegan protein from MissFits protein (chocolate flavour of course!!!) From now till the 14th of February MissFits are running a 'Love Yourself  This Valentines With MissFits'....

As we know February is the month of love however many of us forget to love ourselves! So, the idea of this is to start showing some self love to ourselves! So what could be better than showing some self love to yourself than a big bowl of creamy, indulgent, chocolate oats? Oh damnnnnn.

Then of course we spread this self love a lil further with some crazy toppings. Obviously a big dollop of creamy peanut butter is 100% needed... Honestly, the P.E.R.F.E.C.T breakfast.

1/2 cup rolled oats (gluten free if needed)
1 Missfits Nutrition Chocolate Sachet
1 tbsp cacao powder
1/2 cup non - dairy milk
 1/2 cup water
 1/2 banana
Toppings of choice Eg. Peanut butter, strawberries, the other half of banana, seeds etc.

Start by mashing half of you banana in a small bowl, place the other half to one side ready for topping later. Place your oats in a small saucepan with the mashed banana, cover with half a cup of water and allow to sit for 5 minutes (this makes me extra fluffy)

Next, Place in half a cup of non - dairy milk and bring the heat to a boil and slow reduce to a low heat. Allow your oats to cook through for about 10 minutes, you may want to add more milk. Once cooked to desired consistency remove from the heat and stir in your MissFits Nutrition Chocolate Protein and a tbsp of Cacao powder. Stir in until fully combined.

Place in your favourite bowl, top with the extra banana slices and any other desired toppings. Peanut butter and strawberries are my favourites, along with a little drizzle of agave nectar. Then dig in and enjoy.
